Attack on councillor: policeman held

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Nemom police have arrested a police constable in connection with the attack on Ponnumangalam ward councillor, V. S. Shaji, late on Monday. The police identified the accused as Sajeesh. He has been charged with causing hurt and drunken and riotous behaviour. — Staff Reporter

One killed in accident

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: One person was killed when two motorbikes collided against each other near AJ hospital, Kazhakkuttom on Tuesday night. The deceased was identified as S. Madhu (36), of Thundathil, Kazhakkuttom.
