HYDERABAD: School Education Minister N. Rajyalakshmi ruled out issue of posting orders to those selected by the District Selection Committees (DSC) and awaiting appointment letters, in view of the litigation in Andhra Pradesh High Court. Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, she said: issuing of posting orders in favour of the selected candidates would be considered only after the Court cleared the matter."We are thinking of other alternatives to benefit them but we have no specific time-limit either even for this too." The Minister said that the Government was working out modalities to make temporary recruitment of the DSC-qualified teachers. Officials were working out the pattern in such a manner that the candidates would not enter into litigation again. Meanwhile, those qualified in the DSC-98 staged a dharna in front of the camp office of Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy. Later, Dr. Reddy promised them that he would look into the matter.
`YSR not interested'
But leaders of the DSC-98 qualified teachers said that the Chief Minister could place the issue before the Cabinet and take an immediate decision. They lamented that Dr. Reddy was not interested in resolving their problem. It was evident form the two-minute audience he gave them, they said.
