Rajahmundry: Four women were run over by the Tirumala Express near Gollaprolu railway station in East Godavari district on Wednesday. According to Tuni Railway Police Inspector Bhushanam Naidu, the Visakhapatnam-bound train reached Pitapuram at 8.05 a.m. and moved towards Annavaram. When it was crossing Gollaprolu, the four agricultural labourers were walking along the Nakkalagandi Vagu railway track bridge along with a man. Hearing the sound of the train the man jumped from the track into the water, but the four women were run over. They have been identified as A. Satyavati (42), G. Nagamma (40), B. Simhachalam (50) and A. Durga (12) of Kattipudi.
