Centre to review Assam security

NEW DELHI: The Centre has convened a meeting here for Friday to review the security situation in Assam against the backdrop of the killings of Bihari migrant labourers and next month's National Games in Guwahati.

The meeting, chaired by Home Secretary V. K. Duggal, will discuss deployment and augmentation of the security forces, measures taken for the protection of people and security arrangements for the National Games.
