Italian honour for scientist

HYDERABAD: Chief of the Agricultural Meteorology Division at the World Meteorological Organisation, Geneva, Switzerland, Mannava V.K. Sivakumar, has been elected Corresponding Academician at the Academy of Georgofill, Italy (AGI).

A press release said AGI, founded in 1753, was one of the oldest of scientific academies in the world working for the progress of sciences. A native of Hyderabad, Dr. Sivakumar is also Associate Editor-in-Chief of Sustainability Science Journal and a member on the editorial board of Agricultural and Forest Meteorology Journal and has authored over 200 publications.
