CHENNAI: The Madras Medical Mission has tied up with the governments of several African countries, including Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya, Verghese Eapen, vice-chairman of the Mission, said on Thursday. The institution was providing healthcare to people of Africa, especially for cardio-vascular ailments, he told journalists here. It was against this backdrop that the Mission invited the former Zambian president, Kenneth Kaunda, for a two-day international healthcare leadership summit, which will begin on Friday. Dr. Kaunda founded the Kenneth Kaunda Peace Foundation (1992) and the Kenneth Kaunda Children of Africa Foundation (2000).
