Gajanana posts facile win

MANGALORE: Gajanana Cricket Team (Mangalore) registered a facile four wicket win over National Institute of Technology — Karnataka `A' in the KSCA Mangalore zone first division pool `A' fixture played at NIT-K `A' ground at Srinivasnagar near here on Friday.

Gajanana cricketers bowled out NIT-K `A' in its allotted quota of 50 overs and chased down the target in the 32nd over. In the other second division pool `B' tie played at NIT-K `B' ground, Kings Sports Club (Mangalore) beat Mangalore Cricket Academy (Mangalore) by 2 wickets.

The scores:

First division: Pool A: NIT-K `A' 190 in 50 overs (Pranay 33, S. Mandal 31, Ananth 4 for 26) lost to Gajanana Cricket Team 193 for six in 31.4 overs (Pramith 57, Nithin three for 37)

Second division: Pool B: Mangalore Cricket Academy 248 for seven in 45 overs (Nazir 63, Rajarathna 49, Samith 47) lost to Kings Sports Club 249 for 8 (Shiva 124, Harish 3 for 39). — Staff Reporter
