New Delhi: The list of candidates to fill 100 posts of senior resident doctors at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) was released by the administration late on Friday night. A few medicos had alleged that Institute Director P. Venugopal had withheld the names.
Contradictions
"Though some said the results were displayed around midnight on Friday, most of us got to know about it only on Saturday afternoon. Initially, they had displayed the results only for 49 posts, but later they put up the complete list," Dr. Sukhbir Badhal, one of the junior resident doctors who cleared the examination, said on Saturday. The Progressive Medicos and Scientists Forum on Friday accused Dr. Venugopal of not announcing the results for posts of senior resident doctors, even though they had cleared the written examination and undergone counselling for it. They claimed that as per an advertisement in national dailies, the candidates selected for the vacancies were to join duty on January 1.
