Balagangadharanatha Swamiji
BANGALORE: The 63rd birthday celebrations of Balagangadharanatha Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Math will be celebrated in Bangalore on January 18. Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha L.K. Advani will declare open a 500-bed BGS Global Super Speciality Hospital to mark the occasion, according to Health and Family Affairs Minister and Reception Committee chairman R. Ashok. Coming up on a 50-acre sprawling campus of BGS Health and Education City off Uttarahalli Main Road, the hospital would be the first of its kind in the city. It would offer the much-needed health care facilities to people of eight districts around Bangalore, Mr. Ashok added. Mr. Ashok told presspersons here on Saturday that Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, Maharashtra Governor S.M. Krishna and the former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda among other dignitaries would attend the birthday celebrations. He said arrangements were being made in full swing. Over one lakh devotees from across the State were expected to attend the event.
