Ceremony held with religious fervour in Thiruvalla

CEREMONIAL INCEPTION: The installation ceremony of Cherian Ramanalil, Mathew Karimpil and Thomas Pathiparampil as Corepiscopoi of the Catholic Archdiocese of Thiruvalla held at the St. John's Cathedral on Saturday morning.

PATHANAMTHITTA: The installation ceremony of Cherian Ramanalil, Mathew Karimpil and Thomas Pathiparampil as Corepiscopoi of the Catholic Archdiocese of Thiruvalla was held at the St. John's Cathedral in Thiruvalla with religious fervour on Saturday.

Metropolitan Archbishop of Thiruvalla Isaac Mar Cleemis was the chief celebrant at the ceremony that began at 7 a.m. The bishop of the newly formed Mavelikara diocese of the Malankara Catholic Church, Joshua Mar Ignathios, was the co-celebrant at the installation ceremony.

Senior bishop Geevarghese Mar Themotheos, bishop of Thakkala George Alancherry, Vicar Generals, priests and nuns attached to different dioceses of the Malankara Catholic Church were among those who attended the function.

A meeting to felicitate the newly installed Corepiscopoi was also held at the St. John's Cathedral Hall immediately after the installation ceremony. Minister for Transport and Registraton Mathew T. Thomas inaugurated the meeting. Archbishop Isaac Mar Cleemis presided.

Former Rural Development Minister C.F. Thomas, MLA, Thiruvananthapuram auxiliary bishop Joseph Mar Thomas and Malankara Orthodox Church secretary Alexander Karackal addressed the meeting. Mon. Cherian Ramanalil made the reply speech on behalf of the newly installed Corepiscopoi.
