Civil supplies

The Civil Supplies Department has informed all the white, pink, Antyodaya Anna Yojana cards and Annapurna cardholders of twin cities that essential commodities like rice, wheat, kerosene, sugar have been released for January. All the cardholders can now draw their essential commodities , the release from Chief Rationing Officer Hyderabad A. Vani Prasad said.

Blood donation awareness camp

Friends to Support Organisation in association with NATCO and other organisations will conduct a blood donation awareness campaign at Necklace road on January 27 from 3.30 p.m. to 6 p.m., according to a press release. Interested blood donors can also register themselves at www.friends2support.org to donate blood.

Rhino dies in zoo park

Maya, a female Rhinoceros died at the Nehru Zoological Park here on Friday. The preliminary post-mortem report revealed that the 33-year-old animal died due to veinous congestion because of old age, according to a press release.
