KOCHI: The district working committee meeting of National Kettida Nirmana Thozhilali Congress was held here on Saturday.

State general secretary of the Congress Mathew Kulangara inaugurated the meeting. M.M. Aliyar, district president of the Thozhilali Congress, chaired the meeting.

Board member, A.K. Ali Akbar and district vice-president Thomas Plassery were among those who participated.

Among the demands raised by the Congress include appointment of welfare board employees through the Public Service Commission and to end the tendency to turn welfare activities into party activities through the appointment of party workers to welfare board offices.

The meeting also demanded that cases that were pending with the welfare board should be decided upon quickly.

It was decided at the meeting that the convention and study classes for the Congress would be conducted by February end. Jabbar Puthenveetil welcomed the gathering and V. P. Kumari proposed a vote of thanks.
