HASSAN: Minister for Women and Child Welfare H.K. Kumaraswamy on Sunday made it clear that anganwadi assistants and workers cannot be regularised as per a direction from the court but agreed to raise their honorarium. Addressing presspersons in Hassan, he said anganwadi workers were getting an honorarium of Rs. 1,550 a month. For other services such as undertaking survey for other departments, they were being paid separately. However, the Government was thinking of raising their honorarium. He said after January 26, a Janata Darshan would be conducted by the Women and Child Welfare Department.
