Difference in phone rentals BSNL is charging rentals to subscribers by dividing them into rural and urban subscribers and in doing so, rentals of urban subscribers depend upon the capacity of the exchange to which they belong. But this is not being followed in strict terms and the department is doing injustice to subscribers. The residents of Vidyanagar Colony in Tirupati and its surroundings are paying a monthly rental of Rs. 180 on a par with subscribers residing in Tirupati Municipality. Vidyanagar comes under the purview of Perur gram panchayat. Thousands of subscribes residing in and around Tirupati, Chittoor and some places in the State are paying huge rentals even though they are entitled to rural tariffs. I request the top officials of AP Telecom to stop this unjustified collections. B. N. Nageswara Rao, Tirupati Wipe out mosquito menace There is a powerful bio-pesticide in the fatty oil extracted from custard, according to research by Oil Technological Research Institute, Anantapur and Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad. This oil can be tried in the place of DDT, whose non-biodegradability leads to many complications. Andhra Pradesh is well known for custard apples grown in drier tracts of Rayalaseema and Telangana regions. It is worthwhile to undertake spraying of custard seed oil in the fight against mosquitoes. The technology for seed and oil from custard seed has been perfected at OTRI Anantapur. G. Azeemoddin, Anantapur Clear the congestion The State bank of India, Guntakal has been growing by leaps and bounds. As a result, there is a heavy concentration of cycles, two-wheelers, autos etc on the main road in front of the bank, affecting the traffic. Hence, it is requested that the bank order stationing of the vehicles in their compound by the side of the bank or create some accommodation opposite it on the empty space and thus avoid possible accidents, minor or major. R. Dwarakanatha Rao, Guntakal
