Belgaum: Hectic preparations are under way for the centenary celebrations of the Primary Agricultural Co-operative Bank and the platinum jubilee of Karnataka Rural Education Society at Inapur in Kagwad Assembly constituency of Athani taluk.

Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa will attend the function organised to mark the occasion. They will inaugurate the new building of the bank and celebrations on January 16. Shri Siddharama Panditaradhya Shivacharya Swami of Hiremath, Hipargi-Yadur, will be present. Bharamgouda (Raju) Kage, MLA, will preside over the function.

Briefing about the celebrations here on Saturday, Mr. Kage said the bank management had decided to give 20 per cent dividend to its shareholders on the occasion. The bank had made a profit of Rs. 62.12 lakh during the current financial year.
