A big step forward, says Saifuddin Soz

Special Correspondent

SRINAGAR: Union Minister for Water Resources Saifuddin Soz on Sunday said the visit of External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee to Pakistan was a big step forward and it would lay the foundation for a "decisive visit" by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

He added that the Centre was ready for dialogue with any group.

Before leaving for Delhi after his two-day visit, Mr. Soz said the peace process between India and Pakistan was moving in the right direction. "I think this is the opportune time to do something concrete."
