Work on modernisation of burial ground over

Kakinada: The Marwari Samaj of the city has completed the modernisation of burial ground named ` Kailasa Bhoomi'in Toorangi on the city outskirts at a cost of Rs.20 lakhs and handed over the same to the village panchayat, according to Bawarlal Jain, president, Marwari Samaj. Presiding over the `Donors get-together' here on Tuesday, Mr. Bawarlal Jain said that the mega project was completed within a record time of five months enlisting the support of philanthropic public.

He said the burial ground extending to an area of three and a half acres was given a facelift. Two closed burning beds, four open burning beds were constructed and another one and half acres area meant for burial was developed. He said one acre was developed as a vehicle parking. Toorangi sarpanch A Phanindra Raju, president elect B Prasanna Kumar, eX-MLA Medisetti Ramarao and Marwari samaj vice president Vijay Agarwal attended.
