FARIDKOT (PUNJAB): Police recovered the body of a schoolboy at Pakhi Kalan village, 10 km from here in this district, on Monday evening under mysterious circumstances. Identifying the boy as Raghbir Singh, son of Baljit Singh, who was studying in a government school in Pakhi-Kalan village, district police chief Arun Pal Singh said here on Tuesday that the student had gone to his neighbour Gurmel Singh's house to know the timing of his family's turn for using a common well for irrigation in the village on January 13. However, at not getting any proper information in this connection he left the place but did not return home. After waiting for many hours for the boy to return, the anxious parents launched a vigorous search for their son. Failing to find any clue about the deceased, they filed a complaint with the police on Monday, Mr. Singh said. A police team found the boy's body in the bushes of the family land adjoining the watercourse in the evening. A case under Section 302 (murder) has been registered against unidentified persons. - PTI
