2 more bags with body parts recovered

NOIDA: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday stumbled upon two more polythene bags stuffed with human body parts while scouring the drain near the house of Moninder Singh, an accused in the Noida case. On Monday, the CBI team recovered more than 40 polythene bags containing "biomaterial" from the drain. Fragments of human bones were also found.

The CBI has constituted a high-level team of forensic experts drawn from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory, the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences and the Forensic Science Laboratory in Andhra Pradesh to collect evidence from the spot. A total of 19 cases has been registered by the investigating agency relating to the kidnapping, rape and murder of children and women.

The seized materials have been sent for examination, individualisation and DNA extraction. The skeletal remains will be matched with the relatives of missing persons through advanced forensic techniques.

The CBI has constituted a 30-member team of officers to investigate the case. The team is headed by a Joint Director-level officer and also consists of one Deputy Inspector-General and two Superintendents of Police. Several parents have filed applications with the CBI seeking DNA matching with the human remains recovered by the investigating agency.
