NEW DELHI: In keeping with its commitment, the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) is set to make history in domestic golf in the next three months. Having offered Rs. 1.4 crores as prize-money so far in the season, the PGTI on Tuesday announced five more events with a combined prize-fund of Rs. 2.3 crores, to be organised until the end of April. With more events in the pipeline, the prize-money promises to go up further. The PGTI schedule: Jan. 31 to Feb. 3: Rs. 20 lakhs IOC Extra Premium Masters at Digboi; Feb. 22-25: Rs. 60 lakhs Solaris Open at Bangalore; March 14-18: Rs. 20 lakhs SRF Matchplay in New Delhi; April 12-15: Rs. 60 lakhs AIS Open (venue to be confirmed); April 26-29: Rs. 70 lakhs Crompton Greaves Open in Mumbai.
