ADILABAD: Adilabad legislator C. Ramchander Reddy on Tuesday said that no MLA is against the establishment of an IIT at Basar. However, due to some technical reasons the premier technology institute had to be sanctioned at Isnapur, he said. He was addressing activists of Basar IIT Sadhana Samiti who staged a dharna in front of his house demanding MLAs from the district put pressure on the Government to relocate the IIT at Basar. He said he would facilitate an appointment with Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy for the Samiti delegation so that they can put forth their demand with him. As for the technical reasons which swung the decision in favour of Isnapur, Mr. Reddy said there was need for better transport and other facilities within the reach of the establishment so that experts and others can reach it easily.
