Three get life term

NEW DELHI: A Delhi Court on Monday sentenced three men to rigorous life imprisonment for kidnapping a youth and demanding a ransom of Rs 25 lakhs five years ago.

``The court has no doubt that it were Sudhir, Ravi Shankar and Dharmender, who had conspired to kidnap one Vijay Kumar and also hurt him in order to compel the complainant to pay ransom,'' said Additional Sessions Judge Rajender Kumar at Karkardooma Courts here.

As per the prosecution, the accused on June seven, 2001, abducted the victim from a house in Gandhinagar in East Delhi. -PTI
