DDA auctions 21 commercial plots for more than Rs.600 crore

NEW DELHI: On the second day of auction of its commercial sites in the Capital, the Delhi Development Authority sold 21 plots and garnered more than Rs.600 crore on Tuesday against a reserve price of Rs.260 crore. The highest successful bid of Rs.280 crore was made for a plot at Vikaspuri by Majestic Associates. One of the plots remained unsold.

Beginning Monday, the DDA has raked in more than Rs.1,500 crore by auctioning a total of 37 plots.

On Monday, the Authority had raked in Rs.906 crore with Reliance Industries Limited, through its subsidiary, making the highest and the second highest bids of Rs.266 crore and Rs.126 crore for commercial plots at Dwarka in South-West Delhi, respectively.

The reserve prices for the two sites were Rs.104 crore and Rs.51 crore.

The auction of more commercial sites would continue on Wednesday. A total of 65 plots are on offer.
