Animal welfare meet

CHENNAI : Students' role in checking cruelty to animals was stressed at a meeting of the Karuna Club at the Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School, Adayar, recently.

Ms Gouhar Aziz, animal activist spoke about animal welfare and various acts in Constitution that protected the rights of animals.

Mr. Dhanraj Kochar Jain, Dhanraj Jewellers gave away the prizes to the winners of various competitions on animal welfare.

Suresh Kankaria, general secretary, Karuna Club also spoke.
