Soya food exhibition, contest
If you pride yourself with great culinary abilities this is just the contest.
A soya food exhibition is being organised by the Soya Food Promotion and Welfare Association, Assocom, New Delhi, from January 18 to 21 at Vijaya Mahal, 33, Thiyagaraja Rd, T.Nagar.
A soya cookery competition for hotel management and home science students, chefs and housewives will be part of the event.
The contest will be held for students on January 18 and on January 19 for chefs and housewives.
Participants will have to bring their preparations to the venue. The recipe has to be submitted to the organisers before the competition.
The preparations will be judged by a panel of chefs and celebrities based on the use of soya , its nutritive value and the novelty of the preparation.
The first prize is Rs.5,000 and the second Rs.2,500. There will be 10 consolation prizes. All participants will be presented certificates and mementos.
There is no registration fee. The contest will begin at 11 a.m. Participants may register at the venue.
