Power supply to be affected

KOCHI: Power supply is likely to be affected on the stretch from Vytilla junction to Vytilla power sub-station; Kaniyampuzha Road; and RSAC Road from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, the Kerala State Electricity Board has said.

Merchants warn of stir

KOCHI: The functioning of the Ernakulam market has come to a standstill following accumulation of garbage, the Ernakulam Merchants' Union said. The union would embark on an agitation if the corporation did not take steps to clearit.

Support for protest

KOCHI: The Vytilla Mandalam Congress Committee will join local people in an agitation against the proposal to set up a bar in Thykoodam. Francis Manjooran, mandalam president, said the bar had been planned near a church, a temple, two schools, a hospital and residential colonies.
