Mother, son found dead

Hyderabad: A couple of hours after a spat with her vendor husband, the charred remains of a woman S. Anitha, 25, and her three-year-old son Chittoo were found in their rented house at Mahalaxminagar in Tappachabutra on Monday night. The police suspect that the woman set her son ablaze before killing herself in a similar fashion. They registered a case of suspicious deaths . "We were told the couple used to quarrel frequently over family matters. On Monday night , the wife and husband had an argument, after which Somnath went out around 10.30 p.m.," Tappachabutra Inspector M.S. Venugopala Rao said.

An hour later, a neighbour Kalappa saw smoke emanating from Somnath's house. He rushed inside only to see the burnt bodies of Anitha and her son. Somnath had not returned home till late on Tuesday night.
