Man murdered

A man was found murdered near his house at Sharada theatre in Saroornagar on Tuesday. R. Srinivas (24), a drilling machine operator, left the house on Monday night on the pretext of buying `paan' for his mother Meera Bhai but he did not return home .

However, his body was found with serious head injuries. The assailants killed Srinivas by smashing his head with a boulder.

Man found dead

An unidentified person was strangled to death in a lodge at Balanagar on Tuesday morning. The man aged around 30 came to Krishna Lodge on Saturday along with his friend. He entered his name as Ravi from Gulbarga in the register and hired room number 107 for a day. On Sunday, the victim's friend abruptly left the room. When the housekeeping boys later knocked at the door, there was no response from him. On suspicion, they peeped through the window only to find the man dead.

The police are suspecting that the victim's friend could have killed him and vanished from the lodge.

Chef killed

A chef was killed after accidentally falling from a moving RTC bus at Khairatabad on Monday night. The police said Abdul Kalam (23), a native of Orissa, was standing on the footboard when he lost his balance and fell down leading to bleeding injuries.

He died while being shifted to Osmania General Hospital. Abdul was working in a Chinese fast food centre at Punjagutta.

Run over by train

A youngster was run over by a passenger train at Hi-tec City railway station on Tuesday. Twenty-one-year-old K. Lokaiah, a resident of Weaker Section Colony in Madhapur, was crossing the tracks when the train hit him resulting in multiple fractures. He died on the spot, according to the Nampally railway police.
