They gave a lift and then robbed them

BANGALORE: A car driver and his accomplice stabbed two persons and robbed them of gold ornaments, mobile phones and cash in separate incidents reported from Banaswadi and Kadugondanahalli police station limits in the early hours of Tuesday.

Police said that around 12.15 a.m. two men, who came in a car, offered a lift to Kiran Kumar, a taxi driver. After Kiran boarded the car at OMBR Layout, the two attacked him with a knife and robbed him of a gold chain, a mobile phone, wristwatch and Rs. 500.

They pushed him out of the vehicle near Horamavu and sped away. The Banaswadi police have registered a case. Fifteen minutes later, the two picked Wasim, a salesman, on Nagawara Ring Road and offered to drop him near his house in M.S. Palya.

They stabbed Wasim and relieved him of a gold chain, ring, mobile phone wristwatch and Rs. 50 in cash. The Kadugondanahalli police have registered a case.
