Four held for fake driving license

NEW DELHI: Police on Tuesday unearthed a racket involved in making fake driving licenses and arrested four persons in this connection in central Delhi.

Acting on a tip off that one Jamil Ahamed, a resident of Kamla Nagar, makes fake driving licenses, police sent a decoy customer and struck a deal for Rs.700.

He was arrested when he approached the decoy customer with a fake license bearing the seal of regional transport office, Gurdaspur, police added.

Further investigation led to the arrest of other members of the gang identified as Dilip, Ravi Juneja and Rajan.

Fire at "Fun And

Food Village''

NEW DELHI: A fire broke out at "Fun And Food Village'' in South-West Delhi on Tuesday. No one was reportedly injured.

According to the Fire Service Department, foam material in the skating hall of the amusement park at Kapashera caught fire around 5-30 p.m. Six fire tenders took over an hour to douse the flames. Sparks flying from some welding work being undertaken inside the hall are suspected to have caused the fire, the police said.

Businessman found dead

NEW DELHI: A 55-year-old businessman was found dead at Patel Nagar in West Delhi on Tuesday.

According to the police, Gurcharan Lal Oberoi was found injured on the first floor of his house by his wife on Tuesday morning. She took him to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.

The body bore an injury mark caused by a sharp-edged weapon, the police said.
