NIZAMABAD: All arrangements are in place for the conduct of State level Nandi Natakotsavalu here from January 18. Rajiv Gandhi Auditorium, the venue of the State sponsored cultural festival, will be hosting 32 dramas. Speaking at a joint press conference after inspecting the arrangements here on Wednesday, district Collector I.S. Sri Naresh said LCDs were being arranged at three places for the benefit of those who cannot get seats in the hall which has 800 seating capacity. That apart, arrangements were made for live telecast of the programme through local networks. A wide publicity was given not only in the district, but also in the neighbouring districts of Adilabad, Medak and Karimnagar. About 30 big hoardings were set up from Baswapur, the entry point of the district on National Highway-7 to Sri Ram Sagar Project. In the district headquarter town huge hoardings and banners were put up at various places. A coordination centre was also set up at the office of the District Rural Development Agency to guide and help artistes. A five-member official team was appointed to oversee arrangements at the auditorium, he said. A horticulture exhibition would also be conducted outside the hall from January 20 to 23. Superintendent of Police Mahesh Chandra Laddha said the road to the auditorium was made one way and vehicles would be allowed only from the entry point adjoining Sai Mess. Special police pickets would be posted at the venue, artistes' accommodation, railway station and bus stations.
