Search for Japanese tourist continues

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: The mother of Kota Shinozaki, the 21-year-old Japanese college student who went missing from Agra in Uttar Pradesh on September 5 last, is back here on her second visit to renew the search for her son.

Eiko Shinozaki said on Wednesday that she and Japanese Embassy officials would meet senior police officers in Agra on Thursday and urge them to intensify the search. "We have also written to the Ministry of External Affairs. We will request the local police to widen the investigations and conduct search operations in nearby areas too," an Embassy official said.
