NEW DELHI: As many as 36 fixed and rotary wing aircraft will take part in this year's Republic Day parade here. On display, will be the country's first indigenous helicopter Dhruv as well as gunships and huge troop carrying helicopters of Russian origin. The Army will chip in with three of its choppers flying in arrowhead formation but the bulk of the machines will be from the Indian Air Force (IAF). The recently acquired air-to-air refuellers and large and medium transport aircraft will also be in the fly-past. But the icing on the cake will be the fighter aircraft including Jaguar, MiG-29 and Sukhoi 30 MKI. The IAF will also put on public display the recently acquired Israeli Searcher-II Unmanned Aerial Vehicles as well as the indigenous Indra-II Doppler low-level radars.
