KHAMMAM: Minister for Municipal Administration Koneru Ranga Rao said here on Wednesday that the Government was keen on taking up the work on the Godavari lift schemes (both at Dummugudem and Rudramkota) by Ugadi, the Telugu New Year day. Addressing a news conference, he said the tender process for the eight packages of the projects was completed and there was no scope for any kind of delay. He said the assurances given by the Chief Minister would be implemented by all means. The farmers affected by the floods in the district were paid a compensation of Rs 4 crores. He said the Congress Government viewed the extremist problem as a socio- economic problem.
