THRISSUR:
South Indian Bank (SIB) has registered an all-time high net profit of Rs.81.56 crore during a nine-month period that ended December 31, 2006.
The net profit for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2006, was Rs.24.84 crore as against Rs.20.65 crore for the corresponding period the previous year.
The total business of the bank has increased from Rs.14,726 crore to Rs.18,451 crore.
Deposits have increased from Rs.8,577 crore to Rs.10,925 crore, and advances from Rs.6,149 crore to Rs.7,526 crore, according to a bank press release received here.
