New pipeline proposal cleared

Special Correspondent

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Government has cleared a proposal to lay a new pipeline in the industrial area of Pali town at a cost of Rs. 2.31 crores for supply of water from the nearby Jawai dam to provide the raw water facility to the local industrial units.

State Industries Minister Narpat Singh Rajvi made the announcement while laying the foundation stone of an Udyog Bhavan to be constructed by the Rajasthan Textile Handprocessors' Association in Pali on Tuesday. Mr. Rajvi said the new pipeline would replace the old channel which had been damaged extensively.

Mr. Rajvi said the supply of fresh water from the Jawai dam would help solve the problem of pollution in the local units.

He added that the renovation of the water purification plants in the industrial area had also started recently.
