NOIDA: An eight-year-old boy who went missing from Sector 20 here and was suspected to be among the victims of the Nithari killings was reunited with his family. Vishal, who went missing on December 13 was found by police at Dhankaur. His parents had mistakenly identified a pair of trousers recovered from the house of the accused, Moninder Singh, as belonging to Vishal. Thinking he was dead, the family moved an application to the district authorities seeking compensation. However, District Magistrate (Gautam Buddha Nagar) Ajay Chauhan said no compensation had been paid to the family and only a complaint had been registered. Vishal's father Jai Veer said there was a mistake in identification as his son was also wearing similar trousers when he went missing. "No amount of money could have compensated for our son. We are happy he is back," said Jai Veer. A large number of families come here looking for their missing children ever since the Nithari incident came to light.
