Two persons held on cheating charge
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD
: Two persons, who allegedly cheated a company by supplying Indian-made solar pressure cookers instead of those imported from Germany as promised, were arrested by the Punjagutta police on Wednesday.
The arrested persons were Y. Chandrashekhar Rao, 64, a retired employee of Nuclear Fuel Complex and Y. Laxminarayana Sharma, 42, presently working with the NFC. According to Punjagutta SI Nageswara Rao, the arrested duo had set up a firm and entered into an agreement with another company Prism Infin Club to supply 1,000 German-made solar pressure cookers. To their surprise, the club representatives found the cookers were manufactured in Haryana State. They lodged a complaint with the police following which Rao and Sharma were arrested.
