Power supply to be disrupted

Kochi: Power supply in areas between Vyttila Junction and Janatha Junction and S.A. Road will be disrupted from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday on account of repair works, a KSEB release said. — Staff Reporter

NCP functionary dead

Kochi: Malippuram Bhaskaran, 70, State secretary of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and member of the Kochi Devaswom Board died here on Wednesday. A veteran trade union leader, Mr. Bhaskaran was formerly secretary of the District Pradesh Congress Committee. He leaves behind wife Thankamma and five children Manilal, Jayram, Ranjitha, Beena and Sajitha. - Staff Reporter

Ayurveda seminar

Kochi: A three-day international seminar on Textual Ayurveda concluded on Wednesday. Organised by the Department of Vyakarna, Sree Sankara University of Sanskrit, Kalady, over 60 papers were presented by experts. The seminar was based on the texts by various ayurveda acharyas. A two-day conclave on Thursday and Friday will be held on practical ayurveda methods. - Staff Reporter
