IT firm owner arrested

NEW DELHI: A woman owner of an IT firm has been arrested by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi police on charges of cheating several firms of lakhs of rupees on the pretext of outsourcing data conversion jobs to them. Rajeev Chaudhary, owner of Hitek Peripherals, recently lodged a complaint with the EOW alleging that Kiran Sethi, to whom he had paid an advance of Rs.10 lakhs for a data entry contract, was not returning the amount despite having failed to honour the agreement. G.K. Aggarwal of Indra Technologies and Rahul Jain of Millennium firm also lodged similar complaints.
