Jeevan outclasses Sheikh

NEW DELHI: Jeevan Singh of B.D. Chandiwala Academy outclassed Uttaranchal's Mohammed Sheikh forcing the referee to stop the contest in the second round, to move into the second round of the all-India B.D. Chandiwala junior boxing championship here on Thursday.

The results:

48kg: G. Singh bt Satish 21-11, Madan Lal bt Lalit RSC (OS), Sarvan bt Bhupender 23-13, Jitender bt Vivek 23-13, Prakash bt Devendra 19-6.

51kg: Thapa bt Vijay 12-6, Jeevan Singh bt Mohammed Sheikh RSC (OC) II, Vijay bt Deepak 24-22, Naresh bt S. Rao 23-1.

54kg: Akshay bt Sanjay RSC (OS) III, Bajrang bt Bomcha 33-26, Pappu bt Rupak RSC (OC) II.
