CI suspended on graft charges

Thiruvananthapuram: Inspector General of Police, South Zone, Arun Kumar Sinha has suspended Circle Inspector of Police, Medical College, Muhammad Fari on charges of "gross misconduct and grave dereliction of duty."

Mr. Sinha had received a complaint from a private individual who accused Mr. Fari of "appropriating" Rs.7.5 lakh after mediating a Rs.15 lakh money dispute between him and another person.

Mr. Sinha ordered Assistant Commissioner Ramachandran to conduct an inquiry.
