Bangalore: Here's a new dimension to digital art. "Digital Palimpsest" is a multimedia interactive device in which the visitor contributes to the creative process. "Digital Palimpsest" has been brought to the city by Beatrice de Fays (B2Fays), French artist, along with Lofti Zitouni and Paul Jacob, musicians; Marc Marchand, technical director; and Mathieu Constans, programmer. The Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology in association with the French Embassy in India, Fil d'Ariane, Point Ephemere and Alliance Francaise in India are the organisers.
Participants' role
Speaking to presspersons here on Friday, Eric Rousseau, director of Alliance Francaise de Bangalore, said that "Digital Palimpsest" proposes a multimedia creative device generated by participants' behaviour. The participant would be assessing the device by entering the multimedia installation, his/her captured image, voice and movements would be activated and integrated to the creation process. People who want to be part of B2Fays' "Digital Palimpsest" may visit Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, off Doddaballapur Road, Yelahanka New Town on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
