NELLORE: Faced with demand supply mismatch, the Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh has increased the duration of power cuts timings from two to three hours in Nellore city, Kavali, Gudur, Venkatagiri municipalities. The power cut timings are from 9 a.m to 11 a.m and 4.30 p.m to 5.30 p.m. The power cuts in other areas would be four hours and the load relief would be imposed in two phases. The power cuts would be clamped from 5 a.m to 7 a.m and 11 a.m to 1 p.m for the areas coming under the 33 kv sub-stations of Atmakur, Udayagiri, Adurupalli and Brahmadevam. The load relief timings are from 5 a.m to 7 a.m and 1 p.m to 3 p.m for areas coming under the sub-stations of Gudur, Chendodu, Naidupet, Kavali, Allur and Venkatagiri. For areas coming under the sub-stations of Nellore Thermal Station and Navalaku Thota, the power cuts would be imposed from 7 a.m to 9 a.m and 1 p.m to 3 p.m. The power cuts in the areas coming under Sullurpet sub-station would be from 9 a.m to 11 a.m and 3 p.m to 5 p.m. "If people have any problems pertaining to load relief measures, they can bring to the notice of officials at awareness camps to be conducted on Sunday at respective sub-stations," Superintending Engineer Munikrishanaiah said.
