Aparajith hits century

CHENNAI: B. Aparajith (145) helped Tiruvallur advance to the quarterfinals of the TNCA inter-districts under-15 tournament by virtue of the first innings lead.

The scores: At Chennai: Tiruvannamalai 108 and 122 for nine in 29 overs drew with Tiruvallur 326 in 112 overs (B. Aparajith 145, A. Sriram 54, R. Santhosh Kumar 45, Amarnath four for 85).

At Nagapattinam: Ramanathapuram 139 & 50 for two in 10 overs drew with Nagapattinam 327 in 108 overs (Vivek 155, Manohar 66, Vishnu Raj 49, Maniratnam three for 25).

At Tiruvarur: Kancheepuram 320 for six & 299 for nine in 69 overs (Aashish Kumar 63, T. Balaji 54, Prasannanarayanan 47, Udayapraveen 38 not out, Raja Udayasuriyan five for 125, Surendar three for 87) drew with Tiruvarur 99 in 48 overs (N. Velmurugan 35, V. Ashok four for 10, Prasannanarayanan three for 7).

At Madurai: Madurai 108 and 68 in 24.4 overs (G. Ramachandran five for 20) lost to Krishnagiri 128 in 59.1 overs (G. Ramachandran 33) and 50 for five in 21 overs (Absar Essa three for 12).

At Tirunelveli: Salem 91 in 41 overs (Nawaneetha Krishnan 50, Imran Khan five for 20) and 135 for six decl. in 38 overs (Siva Prakash 31, Vikram Guru 60 not out, Esakkimuthu three for 46, Kannan three for 39) drew with Tirunelveli 120 in 83.3 overs (Manikandan 39, Palraj 36, Vikram Guru three for 18) and 49 for four in 29 overs (S. Manikandan three for nine).
