American College HSS `A' wins

Madurai: American College HSS `A' lifted the Vickram Trophy with an emphatic 7-0 victory over Don Bosco HSS in the final of the football tournament at Enathi near here on Saturday.

The results (Final): American College HSS `A' 7 (Aravind 4, Prasanth, Ponraj 2) bt Don Bosco HSS 0. Semifinals: American College HSS `A' 8 (Aravind 4, Vinoo, Prasanth, Rajiv Gandhi, Ponraj) bt American College HSS `B' 1 (Pounraj); Don Bosco HSS 4 (Rengasamy 2, Muthu Kumar, Balasubramanian) bt Raja's HSS `A' 2 (Ramanathan 2).

Government HS wins

Government HS (Perundurai) claimed the S.V. Ramani Iyer memorial Trophy with an all-win record in the semifinal round robin league of the State-level inter-school volleyball tournament at Andipatti on Friday night.

Khajamian-Sports Hostel, Trichy finished second losing only to G.H.S.S. Perundurai and Saratha HSS, Tirupur finished third with one win and two losses.

Easy for Jeyasekar Club
