VIJAYAWADA: Tamil Nadu won a grand double winning both the boys and girls titles in the 33rd Reliance junior National volleyball championship defeating Uttar Pradesh and Chandiragh respectively here on Saturday. In one-sided encounters, TN boys defeated UP 3-0 (25-20, 25-11, 25-19) and the girls outplayed Chandigarh 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 27-25). In the second boys' semi-final on Friday late night, Tamil Nadu had outmanoeuvred Rajasthan 3-1 (19-25, 25-13, 25-15, 25-9).
The results: Finals: Boys: Tamil Nadu bt Uttar Pradesh 3-0 (25-20, 25-11, 25-19). Girls: Tamil Nadu bt Chandigarh 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 27-25). Play offs: Boys: Karnataka bt Rajasthan 3-1 (25-17, 25-21, 22-25, 25-21). Girls: Kerala bt West Bengal 3-1 (17-25, 25-14, 25-10, 25-18). Sports Reporter
