Thyagaraja aradhana concert

Chennai: Sarvani Sangeetha Sabha will present a Thyagaraja aradhana concert at Music Academy Mini Hall every evening till Wednesday. Performances begin at 6.30 p.m. each day.

Kalakshetra Director Leela Samson inaugurated the programme on Saturday. She said it was important to keep alive the traditions in art by promoting cultural events. Sarvani Sangeetha Sabha celebrates its 21st anniversary this year. The trust encourages young musicians. It conducts an annual `Akhanda Ganam' programme, where artistes perform continuously from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
