Records destroyed in fire

BANGALORE: Some documents were destroyed in an accidental fire at Devarajeevanhalli police station on Friday. The police said around 8.30 a.m. fire broke out in the records room on the second floor of the police station following an electric short-circuit. Two fire tenders were sent to the spot to put out the fire.

While there were reports that stolen property recovered by the police were also gutted, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) P. Muniswamy denied it.
