Bags award

Irene Phalung Awungshi from Manipur, who is studying in Jyoti Nivas College, was awarded the Indira Gandhi National Service Scheme Award on January 12.

According to a press release, she received the award from Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat for her outstanding voluntary social service.

Examinations

The MBBS examinations of January/February 2007 are scheduled to commence from January 29 for repeaters at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College, Kadugondanahalli.

Free medical camp

The Bangalore district committees of Medical Service Centre, All-India Democratic Students' Organisation, All-India Mahila Samskrutika Sanghatana have jointly organised a free medical camp for the people of Gowdanapalya at Muralikrishna School.
